Importance of Children’s Nutrition
Children are lacking the proper nutrition, essential B-Complex vitamins, iron, zinc and antioxidant Vitamins A, C, E, protein and fiber for their growing bodies due to their improper eating habits.
Many children would rather go to a “Fast-food” Restaurant or snack on carbohydrates, or products high in sugar, rather than sitting down to a good healthy meal mom fixes. Too many sweets, carbohydrates, artificial flavors, colors and sweeteners that tend to lead into other problems such as childhood diabetes, obesity, ADHD and the list goes on.
Breakfast should be eaten within the first ½ hour upon rising. So as moms we need to make the decision to change our families nutritional habits and everyone’s health will improve. Fat cell numbers stay constant through adult life - 13 May 2008
The number of fat cells in your body remains constant throughout your adult life, a new study has found. The discovery suggests that the process of weight gain may be fundamentally different in adults and in children. Adults who gain or lose weight may do so through changes in the size of the fat cells, also called adipocytes, which constitute fatty deposits in the body. Children, on the other hand, may put on extra fat by increasing the overall number of these cells in the body. This may mean that people who got fat during childhood may find it more difficult to shift the weight later in life, compared to those who piled on the pounds as adults, suggests Kirsty Spalding of the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden, who led the new research. Although the number of fat cells remains constant in adulthood, Spalding and her team found that it is not the same cells persisting for ever. There is a dynamic process of cell death and replenishment.

nice ideas but what if the kid has no interest in a special shake. Kids can put up a real fight some times. Luckily, Yinka Davies is hosting a webinar that is suppose to help us through these episodes. I hope it is as helpful as your blog.
